Major Nelson has posted on his blog that Microsoft are looking for a few thousand people to road test the New Xbox Experience before it’s official release date of 19th November!!

With the New Xbox Experience needing 128mb of space Microsoft are offering an upgrade for Core and Arcade users. It’s a free 512mb memory card or a cheap “refurbished” 20Gb HD for Core owners with Arcade owners getting a cheap “refurbished” 20Gb HD.
UPDATE: In their news article OXM have reported that Microsoft’s checker knows if you have already added a HD to your Core or Arcade!!
As the title says, just had the press release from Activision. If you nip over to Eurogamer and register (if you haven’t already) you can get yourself a code to play a multiplayer beta of Call of Duty: World at War!! These are limited and on a first come, first served basis.
UPDATE: It looks like the Eurogamer server is taking a pounding. Everyone online must be trying to access it!!

That’s right!! Microsoft announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2008 that the New Xbox Experience, a transformation in home entertainment as Microsoft call it, will launch on Wednesday 19th November!!
It looks like Xbox LIVE is down again. Microsoft are aware of the problem and are working to get it resolved. You can check the Xbox LIVE service status here.
