Last week demos of PES 2010 and FIFA 10 hit Xbox LIVE. Yep, it’s that time of year again!! I took both demos for a spin over the weekend.
This time last year I got hold of both PES 2009 and FIFA 09 and it was hard to really split them. I favoured PES only because I was a fan of the series. Since then I think I have played FIFA more. Even after the review I went back to PES 2008 to finish up some achievements and didn’t return to it’s 09 incarnation.
Not a lot has changed with FIFA 10. Well there has been a lot but it is not immediately noticable. The game plays like FIFA 09. That is a good thing though. It’s fast, fluid and a great game of football. It does still feel like the previous game though, as if this was an upgrade or DLC add-on. I can’t fault it though and can’t wait for its release, which is only a week away!!
On to PES 2010… The game has come on leaps and bounds since last years release. Playing it I noticed it is not as fast and fluid as FIFA 10. Maybe because the demo is missing a commentary track. I hope so anyway. The main fault with PES 2009 was the lag on Xbox LIVE. Hopefully that has been corrected so it’s a wait now until it hits the shelves!!
